Repairs in Altinova continued
The 'Evgenia Z', which had suffered an engine failure at Mariupol on Jan 1, 2020, and was towed to a shipyard in Altinova, remained stationary as of Jan 24, 2022. Steel members including side shell plating thickness measurement have been made by an appointed survey company. Steel replacement was being carried out for deformed and diminution locations, in regards to the measurement result. Repairs were continued as per recommendations.
Disabled freighter towed to Yalova for repairs
The 'Evgenia Z.', which had suffered an engine failure at Mariupol on Jan 1, 2020, was taken in tow by the tug 'Sea Lord' (IMO:8325119), after repair attempts failed, to be taken to a repair yard in Yalova. The towage operation commenced on Aug 19 upon completion of formalities with an ETA at Yalova as of Aug 26.
Drifting vessel ran aground
On Oct 23, 2014, at 2.30 p.m. Moscow time the "Evgenia Z" dragged anchor, went adrift off Rostov-on-Don road and grounded. No damages reported, salvage was under way. Traffic was not affected. At 0400 UTC on Oct 25 the vessel in the same area and reported as anchored.
