Propulsion failure on Lake Erie
The 'G3 Marquis' suffered a propulsion failure in position 41 53 29N, 082 44 15W, while transiting the Lake Erie en route from Sault Ste. Marie to Port Colborne on July 27, 2021, at 6.50 p.m. The vessel proceeded to an anchorage about eight nautical miles south of Kingsville, Ontario. The crew carried out repairs, which allowed the vessel to resume its voyage. It arrived in Port Colborne on July 28 at 3.50 p.m.
Generator trouble on Welland Canal
The 'G3 Marquis', enroute from Port Colborne, encounteed a problem with one of its generators in the Welland Canal near Port Weller, Ontario, in position 43 13 33.2N, 079 13 01.4W, on May 25, 2021, at 3.20 p.m. After the ship docked in Port Weller, the crew carried out repairs, and the vessel resumed its voyage to Montreal where it arrived on May 27.
Allision on Welland Canal
On March 29, 2021, at 8.55 p.m. the 'G3 Marquis' allided with the breast wall of lock 3 while transiting the Welland Canal towards Sault Ste. Marie. The sihp had arrived at Port Weller on March 25. It reached the port of Thunder Bay on March 29.
