Ship too high in the water and out of control

The "Idil" got out of control on Apr 2, 2019, at 09.30 a.m. because the propeller was not submerged enough to give the ship the required propulsion. Initially nobody could figure out, what went wrong and why the ship went out of control. The ship was is southern part of the Istanbul Strait at the start of its transit. It turned back to the Sea of Marmara , but was ordered to drop anchor in pos. 40° 57.58' N 028° 54.81' E. The ship was en route from Tuzla after maintenance via Istanbul to Nikolaev. It sailed from Istanbul and arrived at Nika Tera on April 5.

The "Ocean ID" ran into the southern embankment of the Kiel Canal at Rüstersbergen in the afternoon of Feb 4, 2011, in spite of the assistance of the "Bugsier 15" as stern tug due to stormy wind gusts. The vessel could be refloated with the help of the tug "Bugsier 14" which was called from Brunsbüttel and berthed in the Kiel North Port on Feb 5 at 4.15 a.m. for surveys.
