Medevac off Cabo Corrubedo
On Jan 8, 2020, a crew member needed to be medevaced from the 'Lowlands Amstel' 3o miles off Cabo Corrubedo. The bulkcarrier was enroute from Rouen to Tema when the master requested assistance by Salvamento Marítimo. The helicopter Helimer 402 was deployed to hoist the patient who was then transferred to the Santiagode Compostela airport where an ambulance was waiting to take him to hospital.
