Arrest off Gibraltar

The 'Ismayil Shikhly' has been arrested by court at east anchorage of Gibraltar on May 29, 2020. due to unpaid bank credit. The vessel's departure permission has benn cancelled by the Harbour Master until further settlements between the owner and the crediting bank. The vessel remained stationary off Gibraltar in pos. N 36° 8.85' N 005° 17.89' W as of June 22.

Technical failure in Black Sea

The "Ismayil Shikhly", en route from Novorosyisk to Algeria in a laden condition, suffered a technical failure in the Black Sea on May 6, 2019. The tug "Marintug II" was deployed to tow the vessel to Istanbul. During the strait passage, a Coastal Safety tug escorted the vessel for strait traffic safety. The ship moored at Tuzla anchorage in the evening of May 8 and berthed at the shipyard pier upon completion of formalities on May 10. A detailed damage survey was carried out by class surveyors, together with the owner's superintendent. After permanent repairs have been completed the ship was granted departure permission by the Harbour Master and sailed from Tuzla on May 18 at 3 a.m.
