Fire in engine room
On Dec 18, 2020, a fire broke out in the engine room of the 'Northern Jubilee' off King Abdullah Port. After it was extinguished by injecting carbon dioxide, the disabled ship was taken in tow to the KAP Container Terminal where it arrived on Dec 20 and berthed on Dec 21. It was to discharge all its cargo before shifting to a lay-up berth. The cargo operation was slowly progressing. The crew was working on restoring the power of the auxiliary engines No. 3 and No. 4 as the only power is emanating from the emergency generator onboard.
