Container ship rescued teenager which was blown out to sea
Erica Vicente, 17, has been rescued by the crew of the 'MSC REef'in the Atlantic 30 miles off Portugal - 21 hours after she was blown out to sea by freak gust on April 15 around 8 p.m. while paddle boarding at Algarve beach on April 16, 2023. A massive rescue operation was launched to find her after a gust of wind took her out to sea as she enjoyed the last day of her holiday on a beach in Monte Gordo. She was found 30 miles off the coast of Portugal at around 5.30 p.m. The container ship that was waiting for permission to enter the port of Tangier.
