Structural failures in Diliskelesi

The 'Nazmi C.' suffered a structural failure of the main deck handrails and pertinent connections during cargo discharge operations at Diliskelesi on Dec 18, 2021. Repairs were carried out by stevedore duty teams upon completion of the discharge operation. A further agreement was made between the vessel and the port stevedore, and upon completion of the departure formalities, the vessel sailed from the port on Dec 19 at 5.30 p.m. and berthed at the Kroman Celik Sanayil A.s. Liman, Tavsancil, in Gebze on Dec 21 at 2 a.m.

Engineer suffered life threatening injuries in work accident

On Jan 23, 2021, an accident occurred on the 'Nazmi C' at the Habas STeel Mill Pier in the Aliağa Habaş Port. During the repair of a defective deck crane, the leg of the 2nd engineer was squeezed into a drum and broke. The engineer was taken from the ship by a harbour crane and was immediately taken to the Ege University Hospital. He had survived the life threatening injuries and would be operated.
