Container ship troubled off Ireland
The 'Phoenix J.', en route from Antwerp to Dublin with a crew of 14 on board, suffered problems with the number five cylinder head in position 51 44 12.0 N, 005 49 53.0 W, on Nov 14, 2019, at 12.50 a.m. The ship was NUC and adrift. The owners Jungerhans and agent MSC Ireland were aware of the situation and the crew started to repair the defect, estimating the repair time for seven hours. At 9 a.m. the engine defaults were rectified and the vessel was underway again. The ship arrived at the Dublin Ferryport Terminal at 6.45 p.m.

The "Phoenix J" (IMO: 9504047) sailed from Rauma on Apr 30 and passed the Kiel Canal westbound on May 3 bound for Bremerhaven where it will be repaired at the Bredo Yard (Bremerhavener Dockbetriebe), ETA May 4.Upload News
