Two missing after tanker explosion
On Jan 4, 2015, the "Run Guang 9" exploded off China’s Zhanjiang port, leaving two crew members missing while 12 others were rescued. The product tanker Rwent up in flames after a tank caught fire when the ship was sailing from Zhuhai port to Zhanjiang port. The Zhanjiang Maritime Safety Administration launched search and rescue operations. The fire on the tanker has been extinguished. More than 10 rescue vessels were deployed to the scene. Measures have been taken to clean up potential pollution in the waters of the accident.
