Main engine faulure off Stephens Island
The 'Presinge Trader' suffered main engine issues, 2.96 miles north of Stephens Island, in position 54 15 37.4 N, 130 46 38.2 W, on Dec 20, 2019. at 3.40 p.m. The vessel proceeded to anchorage 28 at Prince Rupert, British Columbia, under tug escort. The 'Presinge Trader' subsequently reported the main engine as disabled and was towed from anchorage 28 to anchorage 8 by the tug 'Smit Venta' and moored in Port Edward in position 54 12 00 N, 130 22 21 W where it remained stationary as of Dec 25.
