Cargo ship docked at Hanoytangen

The damaged "NBP Cruiser" headed towards Askøy escorted by the lifeboats «Kristian Gerhard Jebsen» and «Bjarne Kyrkjebø». It docked at Hanoytangen on May 30 short past midnight.

Cargo ship temporarily in danger of sinking in Korsfjord

On May 29, 2014, at 7.45 p.m. the "NBP Cruiser" radioed a mayday call in the Korsfjord enroute from Barnaguilla to Bergen. The ship had touched the bottom at Marsteinen and suffered a leak. It had a meter of water in the cargo hold. There were 12 people and a pilot on board. They managed to cpoe the flooding, while two lifeboats from Bergen, among them the "Kristian Jebsen", the ambulance boat "Rygervakt from Austevoll and a helicopter were dispatched.
