Medevac off Rhodes

The Central Port Authority of Rhodes was informed on June 6, 2022, at noon that a 63-year-old crew member of the "ZIM Vancouver", en route from Tarragona to Ashdod, had fallen ill and needed immediate hospital treatment. The ship was near Rhodes at that time. Immediately, an Air Force helicopter took off, which picked up the 63-year-old man and transported him to the helipad of the General Hospital of Rhodes, where he was picked up by an ambulanceand transported to the General Hospital of Rhodes for medical treatment.

Anchor loss in Halifax

The 'ZIM Vancouver' lost both of its anchors in position 44 30 25.8 N, 063 24 15.6 W, in Halifax on Feb 18, 2022, at around 3.55 p.m. Using its engines, the vessel held its position until the weather subsided. The ship berthed at the Halifax Container Terminal on Feb 20 at 7.30 a.m., where it remained stationary as of Feb 24.
