Palermo Tanks terminal up and running in Colombia

Wed May 04 10:00:33 CEST 2016 arnekiel

The first phase of the Palermo Tanks terminal project in the port of Barranquilla, Colombia has been completed and is operational, Houston-based Zenith Energy announced. Zenith, an international liquids and bulk terminal company, has partnered with Colombian marine transportation and logistics firm Grupo Coremar on the project, which the companies claim will be the most modern multiproduct liquids facility of its kind in the country. The first incoming shipment of refined products has been received and is being distributed to the Colombian market by truck. Initially the facility – including two storage tanks, a dock and infrastructure – will have capacity of 352,000 barrels for refined products and crude oil storage. http://splash247.com/palermo-tanks-terminal-running-colombia/

New liquids terminal to be built at Colombia’s Port of Barranquilla

Wed Jul 09 16:04:15 CEST 2014 arnekiel

A new, 528,000-barrel refined products and crude oil storage terminal is to be built at the Port of Barranquilla, Colombia. Latin American terminals group Grupo Coremar and midstream energy company Zenith Energy have been awarded a construction contract for the first phase of the terminal. Included will be a new 50,000 dwt ship dock, 6-lane truck racks, as well as accompanying infrastructure. Palermo Tanks will hold a permitted storage of up to 2.5 million barrels for third party merchant storage, allowing for the acceptance of clean products, crude, asphalt, vegetable oil, and petrochemical streams, to and from a 50,000 dwt dock with approximately 12.5m of draft alongside. The facility is being constructed within Grupo Coremar’s 426-acre Palermo Port Society development; the Port offers a variety of dry, break bulk and liquids services. The Palermo Port Society development is located alongside the Magdalena River, with quick access to Colombia’s national highway network.

Colombia to Build New Products, Crude Terminal at Barranquilla Port

Sat Jun 28 07:59:16 CEST 2014 arnekiel

Colombia will have a 528,000-bbl refined products and crude storage terminal at Port of Barranquilla in the second quarter of 2015. The Port of Barranquilla is located south of Pozos, which is the main discharge port for clean products, and north of Covenas, which is a major crude and fuel oil port in Colombia, and Mamonal, another clean products port. Grupo Coremar and Zenith Energy said on Thursday that both companies were awarded a contract for the construction on the first phase of a new, multi-product liquids terminal in Palermo, Magdalena Department, Colombia. The terminal will feature a new 50,000 dwt ship dock, six-lane truck racks, as well as accompanying infrastructure. Palermo Tanks will hold a permitted storage of up to 2.5 million bbl for third party merchant storage, allowing for the acceptance of clean products, crude, asphalt, vegetable oil and petrochemical streams, to and from a 50,000 dwt dock with approximately 12.5 meters of draft alongside.
