One dead in Exmouth sea tragedy
A MAN has died and four others are injured after a freak wave overturned their boat near Exmouth on Oct. 8. Exmouth Police received a call about 9.20am reporting that the vessel carrying five people had been overturned by a wave in waters off Bundegi Boat Ramp. A 47-year-old man died and a couple and their 7-year-old boy are being transported to Perth for medical treatment by the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Another man will remain in Exmouth Hospital for treatment for minor injuries. A second boat helped to recover the passengers and took them to Exmouth, while the overturned boat is currently being towed back.
