Ambulance ship took over castaways after boat fire
The two crew members of a 40-ft-boat that started burning in the Lysefjord, jumped into the sea and was rescued by the 'Møkstadfjord' on April 9, 2022, around 8 p.m. At the Krokeide ferry quay in Fana, several emergency services turned up to receive the castaways. After the HRS had received a message from the police at 8.11 p.m. it sent out an emergency message two minutes later, and the ferry 'Møkstrafjord' responded together with the ambulance boat 'Austevolljenta', which took on board the castaways after the rescue, and the Red Cross. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
