Thruster trouble off Ryde
On Feb 9, 2022, the 'Arrow', en route from Larne to Portsmouth, UK, with 17 crew members on board, encuntered operational issues with its bow thruster off Ryde, but was able to make way and maneuver except when coming alongside in the port. The ship anchored in position 50 43.08 N, 001 03.75 W at around 2.50 p.m. On Feb 10 at 10.30 a.m. the ship transited from the St. Helens Anchorage, Isle Of Wight, to Falmouth and entered A&P the Falmouth Ltd. Shipyard at 10.30 a.m. for repairs before returning to its original destination Portsmouth.
Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
The 'Arrow' suffered a technical issue with the steering gear pump on Aug 24, 2021, and had to be taken out of the service Stornoway-Ullapool. The freight service was meanwhile operated by the ferry Loch Seaforth'. After repair were finished, the vessel returned to service on Aug 25 with the 10.30 p.m. sailing from Stornoway.
Sailings cancelled due to technical issues
Due to a technical issue on board, the 'Arrow' was sidelined, and as of Aug 2, the ferry 'Loch Seaforth' was operating the overnight freight service until further notice. As a result of this, the departure from Stornoway on Aug 2 at 9 p.m. and from Ullapool on Aug 3 at 12.30 a.m. were cancelled. All booked customers on cancelled or affected sailings were accommodated on alternative sailings. Repairs were completed on Aug 3.
