Ferry grounded in Aure
On Sep 7, 2015, around 1 p.m. the "Aure" ran aground in Sålåsundet. The ferry did not have passengers on board. The lifeboat "Skomvær III" was called to assist. The "Aure" had got on the wrong side of an island, hit a shallow and started to heel over. At 6 p.m. the "Aure" got off with the rising tide and headed to Kanestraum in order to unload construction material it had on board, then, after a dive inspection of the hull, it was sent to a yard in Kristiansund.
