Ship boarded by robbers off Tanjung Berakit
The "Bigroll Beaufort" was boarded by robbers 16 miles northeast of Tanjung Berakit, Pulau Bintanbin position 01 24 00N, 104 46 48E, on Apr 29, 2018, at 4 p.m. While carrying out routine deck work the next day, the bosun noticed that the paint store padlock was broken and the door left open. Further investigation showed that the padlocks to the garbage room, oxygen locker, acetylene locker and the bunker station were also broken into and the doors left open. Further investigation indicated that nothing was reported stolen.
COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard delivers module carrier to Spliethoff Group
COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a module carrier, “BIGROLL BEAUFORT”, to its European buyer, the company said in its press release. The vessel measures 173 meters in LOA (length of all), 42 meters in breadth and 12 meters in depth.
