All fuel removed
On Jan 15 all fuel was finally removed from the 'CDRY Blue' The "Jif Helios" has transferred the last containers of products recovered from the vessel to the port of Sant’Antioco, while the Coastguard's monitoring continued. The next step is to salvage the vessel itself. However, there was no longer any risks of pollution.
Works on board continued
On Jan 14 the environmental monitoring and safety measures continued for the 'CDRY Blue'. During the whole day, works continued on board the ship. The 'Sardinia' and the Coast Guard of Sant’Antioco carried out further sampling for environmental protection purposes. During the morning a technical/perational briefing was held with the salvage company at the headquarters of the port authority of Cagliari, for further information on the activity in progress. Pollution patrol activities were ensured by the 'Naitan 1' and the patrol boat 'CG 93' of the maritime district office of Sant’antioco.
Environmental monitoring and safety measures continued
On Jan 13, the environmental monitoring and safety measures continued for the 'CDRY Blue' off Sant’Antioco. Throughout the day, operations were continued. A technical and operational briefing was also held during the morning between the SMIT company and the head of the maritime district office of Sant’Antioco regarding the current situation. The anti-pollution patrol activities were ensured by the anti pollution ship 'Naitan 1' and by the Coast guard with the patrol boats 'CP 812' and 'CP 291'.News schreiben
