A good Samaritan notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day, at approximately 2:35 p.m., about 50 miles southwest of Key West. The Coast Guard Cutter 'James' alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vesse the same day, at approximately 6:40 p.m., about 25 miles south of Big Pine Key. The Coast Guard Cutter 'Issac Mayo' alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vesse on Jan. 4, at approximately 1:20 p.m., about 20 miles south of Duck Key. A good Samaritan notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day at approximately 5 p.m., about 15 miles east of Dry Tortugas. A Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations law enforcement aircrew alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day at approximately 5:50 p.m., about 35 miles south of Key West. A good Samaritan notified Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel on Jan 6 at approximately 6:30 p.m., about 35 miles southeast of Key West. The Coast Guard Cutter 'Kathleen Moore' alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel the same day, at approximately 1:30 a.m., 15 miles south of Marquesas Key. The Coast Guard Cutter 'Maple' alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vesse the same day, at approximately 4:30 a.m., about 14 miles south of Key West. A Coast Guard Station Islamorada law enforcement crew alerted Sector Key West watchstanders of a migrant vessel taking on water, the same day, at approximately 1:40 p.m., about 25 miles south of Islamorada.
