Medevac off A Coruña
On July 31, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. the 'Chem Norma', en route from Rotterdam to Houston, requested the medical evacuation of an injurted crew member. The CCS Fisterra mobilizef the SAR helicopter Helimer 402, which hoisted the man 190 nautical miles from the shore and transferred him to the Alvedro airport in A Coruña, where an ambulance was waiting for the transport to hospital for further care. Lack of power on St. Lawrence River
The 'Chem Norma' sufferd a lack of power of the main engine in pos. 47 25.333 N, 70 25.483 W while proceeding on the St. Lawrence River off Saint-Bernard-sur-Mer on Feb 6, 2022, at 12.40 a.m. The vessel was able to safely reach Montreal without assistance on Feb 7 at 3 p.m. It left the port again on Feb 9 at 9.45 p.m., headed to Galveston with an ETA as of Feb 20.
Engine valve change off Beachy Head
The "Chem Norma" needed to change an engine valve in pos. 50 27.92N, 000 11.50E, 16 miles south of Beachy Head, on Jan 11, 2019. . The tanker was en route from Flushing to Rouen. The crew conducted repairs. They advised the Solent Coastguard after three hours that the repairs were complete. The vessel had loaded 10,507 metric tonnes of liquid urea.
