Grounding during waste water transfer
The "Kolin 7", 1979 gt (IMO: 9083366), being enroute from Tenedos to Kepez, ran aground in the afternoon of June 5, 2016, off Kepez Burnu, Bozcaada. The tanker was loaded with 3500 tons waste fuel having been deployed by the Çanakkale Port Businness SAN. VE TIC. Inc. Attempts to refloat the ship, which was aground with the starboard side and developed a list to port, with own means failed. The tug "Söndüren 7" was sent to assist by the Canakkale Vessel Traffic Service. At 12:18 p.m. the ship was refloated and berthed at the jetty in Gökcali.
