On March 10 at midnight all 1,631 passengers had disembarked from the 'Costa Fortuna' after it berthed at the cruise centre in Singapore. All foreign passengers were to be conveyed by midnight directly to the airport or to their respective hotels. All of them would leave Singapore within the next two days.
Cruise ship returned to Singapore after being barred from Thailand and Malaysia
The 'Costa Fortuna' which had been barred from Thailand and Malaysia due to coronavirus fears has returned to Singapore on March 10, 2020, one week after it set sail from the city-state. Passengers were ushered to waiting coaches and ferried away in the morning. No cases of infection with the new virus has been confirmed in the ship. Singapore authorities previously said doctors would check people before they disembarked. The ship was refused docking in Thailand because it carried 64 Italians. Singapore allowed the ship to dock because it had been scheduled and all passengers on board had been screened before the ship sailed.
