Suspected ammunition was gas cylinder

On Apr 12, 2015, 20 minutes past midnight the "Daniel Laval", was was dredging off the coast of le Havre, reported to the CROSS Jobourg havoing brought up a device resembling a historic munition. The CROSS quickly contacted the centre of maritime operations (COM) in Cherbourg. It hired a team of three deminers who were taken aboard the dredger by an EC 225 helicopter of the navy base in Maupertus. The find turned out be a gas cylinder. At 05:15 a.m. the Navy helicopter recovered the team and returned to its base in Maupertus, while the "Daniel Laval" was able to resume its work.

Dredger pulled up bomb

On Mar 27 at 2.30 p.m. the "Daniel Laval" while dredging off Le Havre reported to the MRCC Jobourg that it pulled up an object resembling to a bomb. The group of clearance divers of La Manche confirmed that the object which was 60 cm long and 15 cm in diameter was a shell from the Second World War. A team of three divers was winched aboard the dredge by a Dauphin helicopter of the Navy. This team has deposited the bomb while the dredge was anchored in the drop zone. At 5.15 p.m. the helicopter team recovered the clearance divers and returned to his base Maupertus. The dredge "Daniel Laval" could resume work.
