Lock allision in Kiel
On Aug 31, 2017, at 6.50 a.m. the "Delphis Bothnia" allided with the wall of the southern lock in Kiel-Holtenau after the transit of the Kiel Canal, having sailed from Rotterdam bound to Gdynia on Aug 30. The ship touched the wall with its port side bow. It suffered dents and scatches above the water line and was detained inside the lock for investigations. Also the wall of the lock suffered damage.
