Engine trouble off Rhodes
The Rhodes Port Authority was informed in the morning of May 27, 12022, by the Captain of the 'Dodekanisos Express' about a mechanical damage to the starboard side main engine en route from Rhodes to Symi, Kos, Kalymnos, Lipsi and Patmos with 137 passengers on board. The ship returned unassisted to the port of Rhodes, where it disembarked its passengers safely and then was barred from sailing until the damage was repaired and a certificate of seaworthiness was presented by the ship's monitoring bclassification society. Then the ship set sail on its approved route.
