Barge sank pleasure boat and damaged pier
On July 29, 2013, the unloaded "Duc in Altum" damaged a pier and some pleasure boats, thereby sinking one, when trying to enter the basin IV in the port of Gustavsburg at 5.40 p.m. The ship was about to turn around to enter the basin astern, but the master misjudged the remaining space and allided with the boats and the marine pier, also causing strong wave impact. The police thought that human error caused the accident.
