Window in first class lounge broke
On Aug 27 at noon, the Mykonos Port Authority was informed that the 'Ekaterini P', whilewas operating a route from the port of Naxos to the port of Mykonos, suffered a broken window in the first class lounge. Subsequently, the window was sealed by the ship's crew. No injuries were caused by the incident. The Mykonos Port Authority granted the ship permission to carry out a single circular voyage, following rthe elevant certification from the monitoring classification society, and continued its scheduled route to the ports of Tinos and Rafina. After the arrival o at the port of Rafina, its departure was initially prohibited by the Port Authority, while after the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance oand seaworthiness, it was permitted to continue.
Ferry ran aground at Tinos
On the morning of May 31, 2025, the Port Authority of Tinos was informed that the 'Ekaterini P', which was operating a scheduled route from the port of Naxos to Mykonos-Tinos-Rafina with 75 passengers, 13 vehicles, five motorcycles, four trucks and 48 crew members on board, an aground at the pier of the outer port of Tinos during the mooring operations. The passengers and vehicles destined for Rafina were forwarded with the company's care. The incident caused no injuries, and no marine pollution was observed and no water ingress was reported. The Port Authority of Tinos granted the ship permission to carry out a single voyage, without passengers on board to Rafina, where it was initially banned from sailing by the Port Authority. After the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance from the monitoring classification society, the sailing ban was lifted.
Ferry suffered mechanical failure
On the morning of March 4, 2025, the 1st Port Department of Tzelepi of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus was informed by the Captain of the 'Ekaterini P.' about a mechanical failure, ahead of the ship’s departure from the port on the route to Serifos-Sifnos-Kimolos-Folegandros-Sikinos-Ios-Thira with 195 passengers, 46 private vehicles and 15 trucks on board. The Port Authority banned the ferry from sailing until the damage was repaired and a certificate of class maintenance was presented by the monitoring classification society.
