Medevac off Barfleur
On Jan 30, 2012, at 10 a.m., the "Spes" notified the rescue center in Jobourg that one of his crew members was sick. The boat was 35 miles east of Barfleur. In a conference call with the Center for Medical Consultation Marine (CSCM) in Toulouse and the Marine Medical Service Coordination (SCMM) of Havre, it was decided to medevac the man and take him to the hospital Jacques Monod in Le Havre. A EC225 helicopter of the Navy started at Maupertus, near Cherbourg, and picked up the man who was delivered to the hospital at 11:18 a.m.
