Bulkcarrier arrested in Chittagong
The 'Great Fluency'. laden with 59380 tonnes of wheat, has been arrested due to litigation between the recipient of the imported cargo and owner of the vessel. The matter was in court and the P&I Club knows the rest of the case. The vessel was arrested at the outer anchorage of Chittagong port, as per orders of the local High Court, on Jan 13, 2020. The vessel, laden with 59380 tonnes of wheat, had arrived at the port, on Dec 6, 2019.

The 'Great Fluency' has been arrested on Jan 13, 2020, as per orders of the local High Court in a litigation case at the outer anchorage of Chittagong port. The vessel, laden with 59380 tonnes of wheat, had arrived at the port on Dec 6, 2019. On Jan 16 it remained moored in pos. 22° 12.14' N 091° 42.40' E. on Chittagong anchorage.
Crew member exposed to phosphene gas
Crew members from Coast Guard Station Port Angeles medically evacuated a 29-year-old Chinese man from the "Great Fluency" in the Straight of Juan De Fuca, Washington, in the morning of April 6, 2019. At approximately 7:20 a.m., Coast Guard District 13 watch standers received a notification from the "Great Fluency" that a member of their crew had been exposed to phosphene gas, a common chemical aboard vessels of this type. Coast Guard crew members, aboard a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium, launched from Station Port Angeles at 8:07 a.m. and arrived on scene at 8:45 a.m. The man was reportedly nauseous but able to climb down a Jacob’s ladder without assistance. The man was transferred to Emergency Medical Technicians standing by at Station Port Angeles, who then transported him to Olympic Medical Center for further medical attention.
