Ferry delays after allision
The "Loch Seaforth" allided with a quay at Stornoway in the afternoon of Oct 14, 2018, while docking. The ferry sustained bow door damage. The 3 p.m. sailing from Stornoway to Ullapool was cancelled. As a result, the 4.25 p.m. sailing from Tarbert to Uig was delayed by around 55 minutes to allow travelling passengers to divert from Stornoway to the terminal on the Isle of Harris. The 6.30 p.m. sailing from Ullapool to Stornoway has also experienced disruption as work was carried out on the vessel to rectify the issue. The ship left Stornoway in the early morning of Oct 15.
