Fire during maintenance

In the night of March 1, 2020, a fire broke out aboard the 'Karamürsel' which which operates on the Eskihisar-Topçular route and was currently under maintainance and repairs at the shipyard area of Yalova's Altinova region. The passenger section and living area of the vessel was damaged. The Altinova firefighters were able to put out the fire in about 45 minutes. There were no injuries reported. Repairs were completed under supervision of the owner's superintendent in the Yalova shipyard. After sea trials were completed,a new set of trading certificates was issued by the classification society.
