Failure during transit of Dardanelles
The 'Kolin 2' was disabled while transiting the Dardanelles northwards on June 25, 2020, due to a mechanical failure. The ship was en route from Bozcaada when the accident happened near Kepez in Canakkale. A tug and and SAR boat responded,and tanker was taken to Kepez and berthed on June 26 at 7.15 p.m.
Grounding in Dardanelles, vessel refloated
the Turkish tank m/v "Kolin 2", 992 gt (IMO: 8622517), ran aground near the Cape of Dalyan in the Dardanelles on July 17 at 1 p.m. while entering Çanakkale. On July 18 at 3.10 p.m. the vessel was refloated with the help of tugs. The ship had been enroute from Bozcaada to Kepez with a cargo of 1300 tons liquid waste and a crew of five.
