Allision in Hirtshals
The "Melusine" suffered problems in the night of Dec 11, 2016, while calling at Hirtshals. Strong winds caused a restricted maneuverability in the harbour. The vessel was pushed against the ferry "Superspeed 1" at 8.40 p.m. The cargo ship wedged up against the ferry before it was brought under control with the the help of the Hirtshals-based tug "Tybring" and berthed at 9.20 p.m. An inspection found only minor damage to the vessels. The ferry had 240 cars and 611 passengers on board. No one was injured.
