Ship beached in Gaddani

The 'Miski' has been moved from the Karachi port without any problems and was beached at Gaddani Shipbreaking Yard in Balochistan recently. The vessel was undergoing demolition by Dec 6.

Detained ship auctioned and sold

On Oct 3 the "Miski" has been auctioned and sold, on the directives of Sindh High Court, as there were several charges against owner of vessel. The crew were not paid wages from two years, the vessel was mortgaged by owners, and payment of bunker taken from the last port which was Sharjah has not been made.

According to the lawyers associated with the admiralty suit No.2, 3, 6 and 7 of 2018, against the "Miski" in the High Court of Sindh, the court during hearing on Aug 27 was pleased to approve the bid for the sale of vessel at 107 million Pakistan rupees in favour of the highest bidder, M/s Ayan Shipbreakers. The Hon'ble High Court further directed the cargo owner to make arrangement of the transshipment of the cargo on board the vessel at their own cost. It was said that after the discharge of the cargo and when the fate of the cases filed by the crew on board the vessel has been decided, the vessel will be officially handed over to the buyer.
