Large amounts of waste water illegally pumped over board
The water police of Stralsund found out that the "Mona Lisa" pumped enormous amounts of waste water into the sea. The ship was controlled on Aug 21, 2012 in the port of Stralsund. The waste water was pumped from the sewage storage tank via an open outboard valve unrecorded and not disinfected into the sea. How much waste water was discharged illegally, is now being determined. The German captain, who was responsible for the pumping operation now received a complaint and must reckon with a prosecutors's investigation. The shiphad stated its voyage in Berlin and proceeded via the Szczecin Lagoon to Stralsund.
