The Port Authority of Thira was informed on Sep 23, 2022, at noon, that a 55-year-old crew member of the 'Odyssey of the Seas', which had moored the anchorage of Fira Bay, Thira, needed to be transported to a hospital due to an illness. 55 cases of Covid-19 detected
After Covid outbreak on board the 'Odyssey of the Seas', two Caribbean islands barring the ship from entering its ports, after 55 people on board tested positive for Covid-19. The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention launched an investigation.
