AIS switched off enroute to Georg Büchner sinking site
In the evening of June 2, 2013, the "ORP Macko" with a diver team on board left the port of Gdynia bound for the sinking site of the combi ship "Georg Büchner" off the Polish coast. While heading to the wrecksite, the AIS was switched off probably to complicate access to the exact data of the sinking position so that the wreck may not be plundered.
