Robbers stole ship's properties
The 'Procyon Leader' was boarded by five robbers via the secured hawse pipe, through a small gap between the cover and the anchor chain, in position 13 45 16.8 N, 121 01 18.6 E, at the Batangas anchorage on April 2, 2022, at 4.30 p.m. UTC. The duty crew noticed the robbers and retreated to the bridge. The alarm was raised, and the crew was mustered. Seeing the crew's alertness, the robbers fled the vessel and escaped with stolen ship's properties. The incident was reported to the VTS, and the Philippines Coastguard boarded the vessel for an inspection.
