Date for next hearing fixed, release of vessel ordered
According to the lawyers associated with the admiralty suit No. 1 of 2019, the High Court of Balochistan has fixed the next hearing date as Dec 3, 2020, to hear the case of the 'Royal Arsenal'. The arrest order has been issued for the vessel on June 29, 2019, w.r.t. claim of damages and losses from the collision with the 'Gas Infinity' due to negligence in navigation on April 7, 2019. The ship remained under arrest at the Gadani Ship Breaking Yard since. Recently, the court has issued an order for the release of the vessel.
Next hearing date scheduled
According to the lawyers associated with the admiralty suit No. 1 of 2019, the High Court of Balochistan, the court has fixed the next hearing date as of Oct 2 to hear the case of the 'Royal Arsenal' which was still under arrest at the Gadani Ship Breaking Yard at Balochistan. The arrest order had been issued on June 28, 2019, due to a claim of damages and losses from the collision with the 'Gas Infinity', due to negligence in navigation by the crew on April 7, 2019.
Bulkcarrier still under arrest
The 'Royal Arsenal' was still under arrest at the Gaddani Ship Breaking Yard at Balochistan. The litigation was initiated in respect of the claim of damages and losses suffered by the LPG Tanker 'Gas Infinity' due to the collision caused due to negligence in navigation by the 'Royal Arsenal'. . The case could not move further due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and delay in the opening of courts. The vessel has reportedly arrived for dismantling at the shipbreaking yard.
