Fishing boat towed to Donostia
On Oct 17, 2023, the Spanish flagged fishing vessel 'Antiguotarrek', with two crew members on board, requests assistance due to an engine breakdown four nautical miles northwest of San Sebastián. The CCS Bilbao of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Orión' to the scene, which took the ship in tow and safely üpulled it to Donostia.
Boat toweed to La Concha Bay
The pleasure boat 'Victoria' with one crew member on board, which was near the mouth of the Urumea in Donosti, went adrift due to an engine failure on Sep 27, 2023, and requÄested assistance. The CCS Bilbao of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Orión', which towed it to its usual buoy in the La Concha Bay.
Multiple assistances for troubled boats
The 'Salvamar Orión' assisted the sailing yacht 'Pepe eta Mari' in the afternoon of Sep 25, 2023, which had gone adrift near Jaizkibel due to an engine failure and a lack of wind. The yacht was taken in tow and pulled to Pasaia San Juan. The same day, the SAR boat towed the 'Gadir' to the Claudia VIII in Estepona and the 'Al Nair' on Lobos Island to La Chatarrita.
