on April 11, 2024, a fire broke out aboard the 'SeaRose FPSO' while undergoing a major refit in the drydock at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, where it docked in January. About 50 firefighters responded to the call at 5.17 p.m. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) sent a specialist rescue team, a marine team and a number of supervisory officers. In addition it deployed an aerial appliance, a foam appliance and four pumping appliances.using breathing apparatus and water jets to put out the fire. The blaze was confined to a cargo tank being worked on by a shipyard subcontractor and has been deemed accidental. Oil spill from a flowline

Mon Nov 19 12:31:03 CET 2018 Timsen

An oil spill off the coast of Newfoundland caused an estimated 250,000 litres of crude to leak into the ocean from a flowline to the "SeaRose FPSO" in the midday hours of Nov 17, 2018. The vessel was stationed about 350 kilometres off the Newfoundland coast in the White Rose field. The spill occurred while crews were preparing to restart production. Operations had been halted on Nov 16 due to high winds and rough seas. Oil extraction remained suspended as the cause of the spill was investigated, but swells of up to seven metres were preventing any underwater examination. The spill could not be contained or cleaned up until waves subsided.
