Tanker ran aground

The 'Wijaya Kusuma 2'' on Oct 6, 2021, at 1 p.m. ran aground in the Helen Mars Coral Waters on its way to Kijang - Pekanbaru. The patrol boats KN 'Kalimasadha-P. 115' and 'P 366' from KSOP Tanjung Balai Karimun were deployed to the grounding position 01°07.480 N 103°46.413 E. No damage or leaks were found. The 'P.115' continued to stand by around the ship to carry out surveillance and security. At 9 p.m. the tanker refloated and was moved to a safe position for inspections. At 9.30 p.m. it continued its voyage to Pekanbaru. Tanker leaking oil after collision

The 'Wijaya Kusuma 2' was in collision with the 'Intan Daya 7', which was loaded with shells, in the afternoon of Dec 28, 2019, on the Siak River in Samarinda in the community of Kampung Pinang Sebatang, Tualang District, Siak Regency, Riau. The tanker was breached at port side and leaking oil. Investigators of the shipping agency with motor boats and police officers were on scene to investigate.
