Allision in Tianjin
The barge "Huan Bo Haiyou 6" was in allision with the "Silvia" in position 38 59 17 N, 117 43 48 E, while trying to berth alongside the ship at the FCIC container terminal in the port of Tianjin on Feb 9, 2019, at 2 a.m. The accident was caused by heavy wind. The container ship was already berthed at Terminal G36 and suffered no damage except some scratches. The barge hit the containership on its starboard quarter and suffered damages to hand rails and the accommodation area. The "Silvia" sailed at 11 p.m. the same day, bound to Qingdao, where it arrived on Feb 10.
