Sailings cancelled for rescue operation
In the afternoon of July 8, 2018, a pleasure boat with one person on board suffered water ingress and an engine failure on the Lang Fjord between Sølsnes and Åfarnes. The fire brigade in Molde was alerted, but the "Stryn" was nearby and took the boat in tow towards Åfarnes. The sailings at 12.05 p.m. from Sølsnes and at 12.25 p.m. from Åfarnes were cancelled due to the rescue operation.
Ferry sidelines due to gear trouble
The "Stryn" suffered a faulty gear in the evening of Jan 22, 2016, at 7.30 p.m. and hat to be taken out of the Festøy-Solevåg run for repairs of thhe mechanical problem. On Jan 23 at 1.25 p.m. the ferry returened to service.
Traffic chaos after ferry failure
A technical failure aboard the "Stryn" in the morning of June 28, 2015, caused queues of some kilometres length on the ferry service Mannheller-Fodnes in the afternoon.The ship remained sidelined in Kaupanger with only one more ship serving the route.At 3 p.m. the reserve ferry "Gulen" was taken into service and brought relief.
