Container got lost
The General Directorate of Maritime Affairs stated on Dec 4, 2021, that a container fell into the sea from the 'Taj' off İskenderun Port and warned the ships navigating off the coast. The container with IMDG Code Class 1 got lost in the waters of the district of Hatay. A Navtex broadcast has been issued.
Technical failure at Aqaba
The 'Taj' suffered a technical failure at Aqaba on Oct 20, 2021. The vessel's departure permission was temporarily cancelled by the Harbour Master until completion of repairs. After repairs and an inspection, the vessel sailed from Aqaba eary on Oct 22, headed to Suez with an ETA as of Oct 23.
Engine trouble in Suez Canal
The 'Taj', en route from Iskenderun, suffered engine trouble about 25 kilometers from Port Said, while transiting the Suez Canal with a southbound convoy on Sep 16, 2021. The vessel was taken in tow to Port Said to clear the Canal route.
