The "Avalon Imagery" on Sep 23, 2010, was underway from Regensburg to a repair yard in Linz, Austria. Police meanwhile found out, that a technical failure of the steering and engine electronic caused the allision with the lock at Hausen, Forchheim, on Sep 18. Several electronic componients have been replaced since. On Sep 21 the ship then passed the Hausen lock once omre only with crew and accomodation staff on board. The passengers, mostrly from USA, Canada and Australia, continued their voyage with different transportation means such as buses. Once American aged 67, who was severely hurt when plunging into the water from the upper deck, thereby suffering fractures, will be able to return home in the near future, according to his doctors.

In the night of Sep 19, 2010, at 11.30 p.m. the „Avalon Imagery“ ran into the Hausen-lock of the Main-Donau-Canal. Seven of on the whoe161 passengers and 41 crew suffered injuries, and seven had to be treated in hospital. One man of 67 plunged into the water from the upper deck and suffered fractures. The damage was assessed to be around one million Euro. The hsip was underway from Amsterdam to Budapest when it allided with the gate of the lock and was trapped there. The vessel suffered severe bow damage, also the radar equipment was destroyed. The Avalon Imagery collided with the gate of the Hausen lock (Bavaria; Gemany) on her way from Amsterdam to Budapest. One passenger fell from board into the water, 7 other passengers were injured. The lock was closed for 2 hours.
