Allision in Rostov
Upon its arrival from Istanbul, the "Ust-Ilinsk" allided with the Russian training boat "UTS-519" near the Voroshilovskiy Bridge, at the port of Rostov on Aug 3, 2019, at 11.45 a.m. The training vessel was holed above the waterline. There were no reports of damage to the "UST-Ilimsk". The freighter subsequently berthed at the port's container terminal.
Repairs in Tuzla completed
The "Aldwych" which had suffered engine failure at Oktyabrsk in Jul 2017 and had arrived at Tuzla on Jan 30 for repairs, left Istanbul Anchorage on 29 April after spare parts were delivered in April, headed to Azov, ETA May 4.
Disabled cargo vessel towed to Tuzla
On Jan 30, 2018, at 5 p.m. the "Aldwych" arrived at Tuzla. The ship had experienced an engine failure at Oktyabrsk in July, 2017. Repairs could not be carried out by the crew. The tug "Horoz" had been appointed, in order to tow the vessel to the Tuzla shipyard area. On completion of towage approval formalities, the operation commenced on Jan 26. During the Istanbul Strait passage, a Coastal Safety tug provided escort service for the vessel and also to ensure the Strait traffic safety.
