Repairs expected to be completed in February
Upon completion of steel replacement works, tightness tests and welding controls of the 'Vasiliy Tatischev' will be carried out with ultrasound equipment. Sea trials will be carried out at the anchorage area under supervision of a class surveyor together with the technical superintendent. The entire repairs were expected to be completed in Feb 2022.
Repairs in Tuzla underway
A new set of spare parts was provided by the owners of the 'Vasiliy Tatischev' from the authorized manufacturer. Steel thickness measurement were performed by an appointed shore-based company with ultrasound equipment. Steel replacement will be carried out as regards diminution recorded locations at the shipyard at Tuzla as of Nov 19.
Repairs have commenced after damage survey
The 'Vasiliy Tatischev', which had suffeed a technical failure at Nikolayev on Jan 1, 2020, has arrived in Tuzla for permanent repairs on Sep 25. A detailed damage survey were carried out by a class surveyor together with the owner's superintendent and shipyard engineers. Subsequently, permanent repairs have commenced in regards to the class surveyor recommendations.
